Airline Group Booking Terms & Conditions

Group flight booking terms and conditions differ significantly from individual ticket rules. Understanding these before you book avoids unexpected surprises.

Minimum group size

Most airlines require a minimum of 10 passengers travelling on the same flight and date. Some international airlines may set the minimum at 12–15 passengers.

Group fare validity

Group fares are quoted as a block rate and are valid for 24–72 hours after the quote is issued. After that, the fare may change.

Deposit and payment schedule

• Deposit: 25–40% of total group fare, payable at confirmation to hold seats.
• Balance: 30–45 days before departure (some airlines require 60 days for peak season).
• Full payment must be received before names are submitted and tickets issued.

Name submission

• Passenger names must be submitted by the airline's cut-off date.
• Domestic airlines: 7–14 days before departure.
• International airlines: 14–21 days before departure.
• Changes after submission: may attract a fee per passenger per sector.

Cancellation policy

• 60+ days before departure: deposit forfeited, partial refund possible.
• 30–59 days before: 50% of total fare forfeited.
• Within 30 days: 75–100% forfeiture depending on airline.
• No-shows: 100% forfeiture.

Partial cancellations

If the group drops below the minimum size due to individual cancellations, remaining passengers are typically rebooked at individual published fares, which may be significantly higher.

Date and route changes

Subject to availability and fare difference. Change fees apply per person per sector. Not available on all group fare types.
